چکیده
ltesults of inoculation experiments with an efficient strain of Rhizobium (eB 756) indicated that indigenous strains occupied most of the nodules of groundnut, grown in high Rhizobiullt gl"Oundnul populatell soils. These could he overcome hy using high rate of inoculation containiug trace clements, molyhdenum and horon, at 1.6 ppm and 4 ppm, respectively, wilh higher rates of phosphate application (150 kg./ha) and farmyard manure, resulting in a significant increase in pod yield, indicating the strategies to be followed for increasing the yield of groundnllt.

Effects of Rhizobium– Mycorrhizae Symbiosis and Foliar Application of Urea on Some Traits of Soybean
In order to investigate the effect of rhizobium bacteria, mycorrhiza fungi and foliar application of urea on qualitative and quantitative traits of soybean an experiment was conducted based on randomized complete block design with four replications. The experiment included six treatments as: Control (C), Rhizobium bacteria (R), Rhizobium bacteria + Mycorrhiza fungi (R+M), Rhizobium bacteria + F...
متن کاملInfluence of Rhizobium Inoculation on Growth and Yield of Groundnut Cultivars
To study the influence of rhizobium inoculation on growth and yield of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) cultivars, an experiment was conducted at Kurram Agency, Pakistan during 2007. The rhizobium inoculation significantly enhanced the growth and yield parameters of groundnut cultivars. However, the maximum plant height (88.43 cm), number of shoots (19.9 plant), number of leaves (173.27 plant), num...
متن کاملModified Fluorescent Technique, Using Rhodamine, for Studies of Rhizobium japonicum-Soybean Symbiosis.
Rhodamine-conjugated capsular polysaccharides isolated from Rhizobium japonicum 61A76NS were used to examine binding between the labeled polysaccharides and soybean roots. Fluorescein-labeled polysaccharides were not satisfactory because soybean root hairs autofluoresce in the fluorescein region.
متن کاملConservation of plasmid-encoded traits among bean-nodulating Rhizobium species.
Rhizobium etli type strain CFN42 contains six plasmids. We analyzed the distribution of genetic markers from some of these plasmids in bean-nodulating strains belonging to different species (Rhizobium etli, Rhizobium gallicum, Rhizobium giardinii, Rhizobium leguminosarum, and Sinorhizobium fredii). Our results indicate that independent of geographic origin, R. etli strains usually share not onl...
متن کاملRhizobium-legume symbiosis shares an exocytotic pathway required for arbuscule formation.
Endosymbiotic interactions are characterized by the formation of specialized membrane compartments, by the host in which the microbes are hosted, in an intracellular manner. Two well-studied examples, which are of major agricultural and ecological importance, are the widespread arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis and the Rhizobium-legume symbiosis. In both symbioses, the specialized host membrane ...
